Rayman, named platformer of the year and winner of multiple artistic and musical achievements, is coming to the Wii U with a brand new adventure. Michel Ancel, celebrated creator of Rayman®, Beyond Good & Evil® and the Raving Rabbids® is bringing his innovative creativity to this new and exciting platform. Rayman Legends makes full use of the power of the Wii U. With the new Wii U controller, discover new ways to platform with its touch-based gameplay, gyroscope technology, and even the ability to extend your playing experience when the TV is off. Additionally, the power of the machine has helped pave the way for new, more detailed graphics and lighting.

Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world. While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world, and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting.

• Wii U Showcase: Rayman Legends takes full advantage of the Wii U and its new controller’s capabilities. Use the touch screen to take out enemies, manipulate platforms, cut ropes to clear a path and much more. With the gyroscope technology, you can move rotating platform and there are many more surprises to come!

• The Game Must Go On: The Wii U allows you to keep playing the game even when your television is off. You will be able to continue Rayman’s adventure on the screen of the Wii U’s new wireless controller.

• 5-Player Co-op Gameplay: Now more players can join in on the fun! With 4 Wii™ Remotes™ and the new Wii U controller, up to 5 players can play at once. At any time if someone wants to leave or join in, the game will continue without interruption.

• 3D Boss Battles: The bosses have a big advantage over Rayman’s gang… an extra dimension! Dragons and other epic creatures can attack from all angles, so you’ll have to be on top of your game to defeat them.

• New Challenges: Connect with your friends through a variety of challenges that will test your skill and speed. Check the leaderboards to see where you rank around the world.

• Rayman Rocks!: Jump to the beat of a drum, punch to the bass line, even zip-line during a guitar sustain. Timing and rhythm are the key to beat these maps set to music. See if you have what it takes to be a Platforming Hero.

• UbiArt Engine Advancements: The UbiArt engine has expanded its abilities to now include 3D gameplay elements, a new lighting design, and a new rendering system which take Rayman’s award-winning graphics to the next level.

• The Award-Winning Team Is Back: The legendary team of decorated artists, designers and composers are teaming up again to create new worlds, new characters and a new soundtrack.

Rayman
Our Hero!
When the Creator had his very first bad dream, the nymphs gathered to invoke a being of light capable of saving our world: a creature both agile and carefree, as tenacious as he is hilarious, destined to crack up the Creator with his heroic antics and stop the nightmare!

Unfortunately, although not surprisingly, our bedazzling and bodacious nymphs were distracted by some zombie chickens on their way to the sacred snoring grounds of the Bubble Dreamer, and they lost a sack of lums chasing the crazy creatures over a cliff. Thus, they arrived late and with a lot less illumination. In the end, Rayman was born with a few missing limbs, which as it turned out, made him a whole lot more limber!

Globox
A quiet force within the Glade, Globox is never to be underestimated. Always ready to lend a hand to his friends and adversaries alike, his mastery of Fung-Ku and etiquette comes down to the classic Gimme Five move, a solid smack that can knock you right out of your boxers! This glorious goober is, nevertheless, everything you could want in a friend. Always up for a little fooding, fighting, and power-napping ­ and always in good spirits ­ Globox is second to none when it comes to romping, bouncing, and bubblizing baddies. The mystery surrounding how the Glade’s all­time undefeated champion snoozer became blue is a matter of some speculation among the magic people.

Teensies
Crafty little wizards in an array of disguises
Teensies have got flair! The Teensies’ innate talent for nocturnal schnoz-ballads comes quite simply from the Creator himself in the form of imposing noses. And bubble me if we haven’t seen the Teensies spin some wicked spells over the years! Their magnificent nostrils make them highly sensitive to the subtle harmonies of magic; and everyone knows Teensy magicians can sniff out the secrets of our world like nobody’s business!
The Teensies are a cast of quick casters who have a proud history of producing many scrappy and memorable, not to mention well-dressed, fighters. (Teensies like to dress up and have treefuls of disguises.) You will be able to play as some of their most illustrious ancestors!

Barbara

Barbara is a new character that will appear in Rayman Legends, as she helps out Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies. She flies with the wings on her helmet. She was introduced in the leaked trailer of Rayman Legends on April 27th, and was known as an ally. She was revealed as one of the first playable characters in Rayman Legends.

Electoons
Lively little orbs of cheer and perkiness
The irrepressibly happy Electoons are the stuff of the Maker’s dreams and are contained in all of Bubble Dreamer’s creations. As the bad dreams worsen, more and more Electoons become imprisoned by bombastic Hunters, who pepper the bucolic Glade with their belligerently live ammunition, and their terrifyingly ridiculous lackeys, the Lividstones. As a result, the very fabric of the Glade of Dreams begins to unravel, and the connections the Electoons once formed between the lands start to dissolve.

Lums
Enlightened sources of enchanted energy
Lums (pronounced “Looms,” like ilLUMination, and not Lums, for dumb) are beings of pure energy possessed of a mind­bogglingly sunny disposition. They are an important source of magical energy in the Glade of Dreams, making Lums Racing a popular Glade­wide sport. The competition pits up to four players against each other in crazy cross­country competitions to collect Lums.
Anything goes in this wild race, or as we say around here, no smack is too packed. While all players go home winners, only one takes the prize: the player who nabs the most nap­happy Lums, of course! No holds barred!
